in his Today show editorial, both here. “It’s a measure of how impoverished the tax debate can be that a headline
tells us today that Malcolm Turnbull is now the power player on the back
bench,” he told his radio audience. And on Today, Jones praised what he called a “spending tax” – which seemed identical to the
“Easytax” proposal that sunk Pauline Hanson’s credibility when she first
floated it back in 1998 but he still insists on parroting.
