This weekend’s
opening round of the AFL season highlights the enormous difference
between free-to-air television coverage of rugby league and AFL.
While
some of the AFL matches may be on a 15-minute or so delay, the “live”
coverage of four matches stands in sharp contrast to the rough deal
Nine hands out to rugby league fans, even in the game’s heartland of
Sydney and Brisbane. Is it any wonder rugby league fans are in total
revolt?
