Next week, Crikey plans to start a new regular segment – The Consulting Room – which will give Crikey readers the opportunity to ask Christian Kerr questions about politics and related subjects.
Who’s really doing what to whom in Canberra? What’s the strategy behind the policy? Why is Minister X performing so badly? When will Politician Y start her run for the party leadership? What do politicians really think of opinion polls? Who’s behind the leaks of policy K? Were Minister N’s recent media performances a well-orchestrated tactic? Is there an historical precedent for Politician T’s amazing performance? How much influence do the senior public servants have in Department Q?
Christian Kerr will give his opinions, try to answer your questions, or find the right expert to answer them. If the questions are thoughtful, we hope the answers will be insightful. (If the questions are banal or predictable, Christian probably won’t answer them).
Starting next week, Christian Kerr becomes Crikey’s political agony aunt. Send your political questions to consultingroom@crikey.com.au.
