Crikey, according to the dogs in the manger of the Federal Treasury, isn’t mainstream enough to be allowed into the Budget lock-up – but we’re mainstream enough for the treasurer to quote in Question Time. And the deputy prime minister. Nothing like joined up government, is there? Very efficient.
We’re also mainstream enough to be listed on the Commonwealth Parliamentary Library’s Media Internet Resources site, here. The Library also contains material from Crikey.
The Parliamentary Library comes under the control of the Presiding Officers, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate. Presumably they don’t consider it spoiled by the presence of Crikey content. Who’s going to tell Treasury?
