The debate over the legal use of caffeine as a stimulant by AFL clubs following the revelation on
last week’s Footy Show continues to
ferment. And who would have foreseen just
how controversial the fall-out would become, to the point that not only are AFL
coaches and clubs now embroiled in the whole debate about the ethics of
concentrated caffeine use, but we learn that it’s also led to a breach of a
private understanding between the coaching fraternity not to personally sledge
each other. Now that is news!
