If the Bulldogs Braith Anasta wants to try his hand at rugby union,
good luck to him, but the sooner this drawn out, distracting saga ends the better!
It’s now really up to
Anasta, and perhaps more importantly, his manager, to end the publicity that’s
doing neither rugby league, nor the Bulldogs, nor Anasta himself, no favours at
all.
The sooner it’s resolved, the sooner speculation linking his
decision to his selection in the Blues State of
Origin Team can end. I have seen no evidence that Anasta has directly contributed to this
speculation, but others surely have done so – and it’s bad for the game.
