with Seven Network kicking off its “live” coverage of the Schapelle
Corby verdict at noon and the Nine Network launching its coverage two
hours later.

The Weekend Australian
managed to attack Corby and produce a case against her with the front
page revelation whose most newsworthy point was that her father had
been fined $400 for possession of 2 grams of cannabis years ago –
charges he claimed had had been for someone else’s cannabis. “Like her
(he) says the cannabis “wasn’t mine,” the paper snidely said on the
front page.
