Being a movie star doesn’t just get you VIP treatment in clubs,
restaurants and hotels. It also helps to be a star when you get
arrested for phone-throwing, according to New York’s Newsday:
Russell Crowe, the Oscar-winning Aussie, experienced the justice system
at possibly its swiftest Monday when he was arraigned in Manhattan
Criminal Court within seven hours of being arrested.The star most recently of “Cinderella Man” also breezed past
Central Booking, where suspects are routinely held while getting
fingerprinted, and he later got a six-scooter police escort to his
arraignment.By 12:07pm he was back on the streets.
