A reader emails Crikey about the state premier who “has continued with his old rough and tumble drinking habits of getting dangerously, violently p*ssed.” The reader cited a charity dinner where the premier “got p*ssed” and “threatened” the editor of the main state newspaper who was sitting at the premier’s table, “then invited him outside to settle the matter.” The reader says the premier is a regular at a hotel near Parliament House where, with two other cabinet ministers, he “threatened other patrons who objected to their behaviour.” A witness to all this was a judge from another state who was in town trying a case against the state government.
