The Winners |
Well, Nine of course: it was the third and deciding Origin Rugby league game and Nine won easily, thanks to the 1.9 million people who watched (including a solid 242,000 in Melbourne when they advanced the replay time an hour to 9:30pm last night. That’s certainly a lot better than most AFL games get in Sydney) |
The Losers |
Because of Origin, most programs not on |
News & CA | Today Tonight and Seven News had wins nationally last night, because of Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. But lost again in Sydney, with ACA winning easily and having its best night for months (371,000 to 319,000). If this continues tonight and then into next week, Seven has a problem which it will have to fix otherwise it will hurt the Network. Nine’s rebuilding of the Celebrity Squares franchise to run at 5:30pm against Deal or No Deal will not make it any easier. |
The Stats |
Nine won with 38.4%, to Seven on 22.1% Ten on 21.8%, the ABC down on 13.4% and SBS on 4.5%. Nine’s share in Sydney was a massive 50.7% and in Brisbane 47.8%. |

She is using the Big Brother issue to try to rebuild her image with the religious groups in her electorate and nothing else. |
