Did you
miss it as well? So did the Ten Network. Its chopper pulled
back from the Sydney Opera House (to save fuel according to an insider) and
missed the “money shots.” Ten was upstaged by Nine and Seven – they both managed to get some quite clear
shots of Lleyton Hewitt and Bec Cartwright from their choppers.
Paparazzi were also tight on the ground around the Opera
House, on the harbour, in the air on neighbouring office blocks. When the couple
did their wedding shots on the top floor of the Hotel
Intercontinental, there were cameras snapping from surrounding buildings, all
with enormous lenses.
For a
marriage that was “exclusive” with “tight” security, it was remarkably
public. Take a
look at this montage from the Sydney Morning Herald website, posted only hours after the couple tied the knot.
