rnThe Winners rn

rn Lost, a real episode and 1.968 million people watched – rn570,000 more than second placed Getaway on Nine. And Seven’s Las Vegas perked rnup to 1.240 million against Getaway at 7:30pm. Seven’s Amazing Race rnstreeted the Footy Shows on Nine: in Brisbane the NRL Footy Show fell to its rnlowest audience for quite a while with 120,000 people. Sydney was up around 272,000 and Melbourne was on rn383,000.
rnThe Losers rn

rn Nine News and A Current Affair were weaker rnthan they have been. Big Brother (938,000) at 7pm was easily beaten by Home and Away rn(1.198 million) in the battle for the kiddies. Ten’s repeats of Law rnand Order: Special Victims Unit was another weakness, but it was only just beaten by a fresh rnepisode of Law and Order: Trial by Jury – viewers are giving this one the thumbs rndown!
rnNews & rnCA

rnSeven won Sydney in both the News and TT-ACA battles. rn Nine News in Sydney fell sharply to 292,000, a level not rnseen for a number of weeks. Nine News and ACA won Melbourne rnand Brisbane, Seven won big in Adelaide and Perth (as usual), which got them home rnnationally.
rnThe rnStats

rnSeven won narrowly from Nine. Seven’s winning share of 31.7% ahead of Nine on rn30.3%. Ten was on 19.5%, the ABC on 14.4% and SBS on 4.2%. Seven will crow, Nine rnwill grind its teeth in frustration, but it was the second night this week that rna big win in Perth got Seven home. Nine won Sydney, Melbourne and rnAdelaide. Seven rnnipped home first in Brisbane but had a 34.1% to rn27.0% win in Perth, which proved rndecisive.
rnGlenn Dyer’s rncomments

rnrnA quiet night and that big win in Perth for Seven will rnupset Nine but it will still win the week because of the AFL and NRL games tonight.
