Rough end of the Queensland
pineapple Queensland Liberal watchers are delighting in the rise and rise of
deputy leader Dr Bruce Flegg. Flegg is in the news all the time, boosting not
only his own profile but helping along the five person team that are the state
Liberals. Interestingly, though, Flegg’s profile seems to have dropped as state
president Michael Caltabiano makes a tilt for state parliament in the
Chatsworth by-election. Could this be a leadership issue – or is it just a
hangover from the $100,0000 the Caltabiano faction spent in court challenging
the good doctor’s preselection in the lead up to the last election?
