Rupert and Lachlan vis a vis Daedalus and Icarus.

There are those in News Corp who survive by reciting the myth of Icarus each
night after work.

As the Icarus (read Lachlan) myth goes – his father Daedalus, (The Sun King)
a creative, inventive and successful genius, murdered his nephew Talus by
throwing him from the Acropolis. (Think Matt Handbury, Rupert’s siblings and the
London Establishment)

Daedalus was found guilty of murder and was banished from Athens. (Think
London)

He moved with his son Icarus to Crete (Think Manhattan) – where in order to
escape the half-man half-bull minotaur (Think John Malone) he built for himself
and his son a pair of wings made of wood, wax and feathers. (Think News
Corporation)

Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly to close to the sun as the wax would melt
and the wings would fail. Icarus didn’t listen and in his infatuation with
flight, became careless, flew too close to the sun and perished. (Think OneTel
and Rugby League)

Those who survive at News Corp. know it is wise not to fly too close to the
sun – for he is called the Sun-King with good reason.
