If it’s out with the old, in with the new in NSW state politics,
what’s happening to parliamentary super? Back in February last year when a
bloke named Latham seemed to be in the news a bit with a couple of ideas, Bob Carr promised an
overhaul of the existing generous superannuation arrangements for state pols.

The Feds were listening, and changed theirs. OK, so they’ve had an
election – the starting point for the new system – but NSW is set to get three
new pols but no firm proposals about how their future colleagues’ super will be
dealt with.
