A sharp-eyed reader spotted something unusual about a photo of a young woman on her bed in last Saturday’s Advertiser.
The page two story on the benefits of selling old furniture in The Advertiser‘s
classifieds was innocent enough, but tucked down in the left hand corner
of the photo hangs an interesting item – missed (or mischievously not
missed) by the subs and photographer.
Was it an innocent gaff? A mischievous prank? Or perhaps a subtle warning – buyer beware.
We rang The Advertiser to clarify and although the receptionist
knew exactly which photograph we were talking about – with minimal
prompting – pictorial editor Chris Mangan was not amused and bluntly
declined to comment on how the already infamous pic made it into the
paper.
