email that was flying around the leftienet on Saturday afternoon:

“Hello everyone,

The Trade Union Rep is still in the Big
Brother House with 3 people left standing. There is a change that he may win
the Big Brother Prizes. Please read about it in the following message.”

Then there was this offering:

“Subject: [bankstown: NO WAR]
Vote Vesna, Vote Often!

For those who remember that Tim is a lefty
still in the last 3, with a huge chance to win Big Brother!

Vote Vesna, Vote Often!”

That was followed by a full workers’
manifesto:

“Dear Tim supporters,

It has been a crazy three months, and
amazingly Tim is still in the Big Brother house. From bullying to unrequited
love, he has survived everything the other housemates and Big Brother could
throw at him, with the calm, compassionate and rational resolve we all love him
for. He did all this, while treating us to the most entertaining range of
madcap stories and shenanigans that we’ve ever seen.

It has been really heartening to see the
Australian public fall in love with Tim, and all the values he stands for. He
stated what he believed in at the very beginning of the show, the rights of the
workers, the gay and lesbian community, and all Australians to be treated with
respect, and to get on with each other. And in the BB house, in his personal interactions,
he stood by those principles.

He is now in the final three housemates,
and stands a good chance of winning. Think how great it will be, if someone
honest and honourable like Tim wins a competition that usually sees vacuous and
vain Himbos triumph.

So, in this final week , we have to all
band together to help Tim win Big Brother 2005.

Here is the plan: Vesna is the big threat
to Tim, with her entertaining, but ultimately selfish histrionics. We need to
focus all of our voting to knock her off on Sunday. Then we can focus on the
task of helping Tim defeat the very careful Greg on Monday night.

So loyal Tim fans, Vote Vesna And Vote
Often. You know that Vesna fans will voting often to evict Tim!

Just for once, let’s reward the person who
REALLY deserves to win!

Vesna is out
– and tipping Tim to beat Greg in the Big Brother final. If he wins, does that
