The
Rugby Union Test between Australia and South Africa saw the Wobblies lose. It was the fourth loss for the Wallabies, the
worst performance since 1982. The
battle in tellie land is much closer, and even though
the mighty Nine Network continues to have the shakes, it still got home last
week.

Seven’s
telecast of the Rugby didn’t have the same impact for network that the
Australia-All Blacks test had a week earlier when it enabled Seven to draw the
week with Nine. In fact
Seven ran third Saturday as Ten won the night narrowly
from Nine, 25.4% to 25.3% with Seven on 24.4%.

Friday
saw the NRL and AFL games boost Nine to a winning lead after it won the night
with a share of 31.6%, with Seven second and Ten third.
That
was enough to withstand any challenge and bridge the gap opened up on Thursday
when Seven won on the back of a strong audience for
Lost.

That
saw Nine win the week 27.4% to 25.9% with Ten on 22.3%,
the ABC with 15.6% and SBS with 8.7%.
