Apology to Telstra by The Bulletin
The
publisher of The Bulletin magazine will run an apology to Telstra in tomorrow’s
edition.
It will
read: In last week’s edition, The Bulletin published an article about Telstra’s
Chairman Mr Donald McGauchie and its Chief Executive Officer Mr Sol Trujillo.
The article claimed that after a meeting between Mr Trujillo and the Government,
a conversation had taken place between Mr McGauchie and the Prime Minister about
Mr Trujillo’s future. The Bulletin now accepts that the meeting between the
Government and Mr Trujillo was friendly and constructive, that the conversation
did not take place and apologises to Mr McGauchie and Mr Trujillo for any
embarrassment caused by the error.
