A
preselection was held over the weekend for Santo Santoro’s state
electorate of Clayfield. Local councillor Tim Nichols saw off Sally
Hannah, who ran unsuccessfully against Labor’s Liddy Clark at the last
election, by the narrowest of margins.
Yet sources say two
preselectors were not allowed to vote – Minister for Fisheries,
Forestry and Conservation Senator Ian Macdonald, representing the Prime
Minister, and Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman.
