Yes, it’s Tuesday night and the dancing gals and guys did it for Seven in a big way. Dancing With the Stars attracted an average 2.067 million people from 7.30pm to 9pm. Strong performances by Home and Away (1.655 million), All Saints (1.466 million) and Today Tonight (1.418 million) also added to the size of Seven’s win. Nine’s best performer was the 6pm news which beat Seven nationally. From then on it was a slow decline for the network. Ten was never in the hunt in All People but nipped Seven to win the 16 to 39 year demographic. |

Nine News had that rare win nationally over Seven: 1.337 million people to 1.293 million. Seven still won Sydney and Perth, but lost Melbourne heavily as well as Brisbane and Adelaide. Today Tonight accounted for A Current Affair nationally and in Sydney, Brisbane. Adelaide and Perth, but lost Melbourne. The ABC News was watched by an average 992,000 which is a bit lower than normal and the 7.30 Report was belted by Dancing with the Stars. its audience tumbled to an average 689,000. ABC viewers love the Dancing! |

Seven with a share of 34.8% to Nine with 26.8% Ten with 21.0% the ABC with 12.4% and SBS with 5.1%. Seven won Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. |

After Nine’s excitement at Eddie’s first millionaire, it was back to reality last night and a reminder of the importance of having a program that rates its socks off every week not just when there’s a one off boost from a special winner. |
