The Winners |
Nine easily thanks to CSI (1.625 million), 60 Minutes (1.531 million) and the 6 pm News (1.381 million). The Aria Awards (1.122 million from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm) did well for Ten and boosted it into second place ahead of Seven, which again suffered from a lack of any heavyweight Sunday night programming. Seven’s best was the 6 pm News with 1.286 million. The ABC’s 7 pm news with 1.266 million was neck and neck with the second half of Nine’s Celebrity Overhaul (1.202 million) and Australian Idol, which was shifted to 6.30 to 7.30 pm to allow the Arias broadcast start. Idol just nipped the ABC News with 1.272 million people. Ten though will say, we won the 16 to 39 age group. But Idol again under performed. |

Glenn Dyer’s comments |
Nine and Ten will be grinners today after last night but tonight it will be a different story. Gray’s Anatomy versus a new episode of Cold Case on Nine. And what about Ten’s Numb3rs. Still counting them lower, like Seven’s 24 (9.30 pm). Super Nanny on Nine at 7.30 pm v. The Great Outdoors on Seven and the poorly performing Idol Verdict episode. |
