With many offices currently preparing for their staff Christmas
parties, I though I’d share this gem with you. An email was recently
sent out to all staff at DIMIA about the upcoming staff Christmas party
and informing them that the theme this year would be ‘Cowboys and
Injuns’ This email was quickly followed by another one announcing that
the theme for this year’s DIMIA Christmas party has now been changed to
just ‘Fancy Dress’, along with an apology to those who were offended by
the previous theme and stating that ‘…there was no intention to draw
on cultural or racial sensitivities.’

The best bit is that the original email was approved by the Secretary for Distribution.
