Saturday’s Spectrum section in The Sydney Morning Herald featured an interesting review from London’s Daily Telegraph on Opus Dei, the shadowy Catholic organisation. The review was by a writer called Damian Thompson. The book is called Opus Dei: Secrets and Power Inside the Catholic Church by John L Allen, Vatican correspondent of the American National Catholic Reporter.

Fairfax liked it so much it was repeated in Sunday’s Sydney Sun-Herald word for word (page 95), but without the attribution for the Daily Telegraph of London.
