Another win for Nine, thanks to Eddie’s second millionaire winner, the slow-thinking Martin Flood. More than 1.76 million people tuned in, beating Seven’s Grey’s Anatomy into second place with 1.472 million. Home and Away was next with 1.404 million, then Today Tonight (1.376 million) and Seven News (1.361million). Nine’s Cold Case at 9.30pm (1.349 million) easily accounted for the new Seven effort, Dragon’s Den, which was watched by an average of 812,000 viewers. For Ten, the audience for the verdict episode of Australian Idol held up better than previous weeks, which is not surprising considering we now have the two finalists. An average of 1.252 million people watched last night, compared to the 1.452 million on Sunday night. |

Glenn Dyer’s comments |
Tonight no Dancing With The Stars for Seven, just a Dance-Off special at 8.30pm after the debut of Headland at 7.30pm. There’s a lot riding on this program for Seven, but at least they are having a go. It’s up against new Frasier episodes on Nine and a new episode of The Simpsons on Ten. Life is never easy in ratings prime time. |
