It’s a terrible pity, but Hansard somehow managed to miss a loud
interjection during this thrilling dixer in Question Time yesterday:
Mr RANDALL (3.03 pm)—My question is addressed to the
Attorney-General. Would the Attorney-General advise the House of
government initiatives to protect the Australian community from those
who would urge the use of force and violence to overthrow our
democratic institutions?Mr RUDDOCK—I thank the honourable member for Canning for his question,
because he aims it very clearly at those who use misinformation about
and misinterpretation of the Anti-Terrorism Bill (No. 2) 2005, which
was passed by this House and is presently before the Senate…
For those not in the chamber, Randall asked his question – and a voice came booming from the Labor side: “You mean the press?”
