Dubya might be finally admitting that the WMD intelligence wasn’t that
hot, but the significance of the Iraqi elections cannot be overlooked –
particularly given the decision of Sunni parties to participate. Only
one conclusion can be drawn – that while the insurgency continues, the
Sunnis believe they need to be part of any future administration, a
tacit admission that a fledging democracy is growing.
