yesterday morning wasn’t Christmas bells going off a week early. It was
the myriad mobiles of the nation’s political hacks as they called each
other to decode Glenn Milne’s reshufflereports in the Sunday Telegraph.
The
question on everyone’s lips is: “Is Hilly going?” And the best answer
seems to be that he’s told the PM he’ll think about it over summer.
Delphic little bugger. Now, those comments of Hill’s come from very
senior sources – from the higher echelons of the Cabinet.
So who
briefed Milne? Goss that comes from senior levels of Cabinet? We’re not
talking deluded former leaders who still carry torches here, are we?
