Christian Kerr writes:
This year’s big state election is the Victorian poll – and despite receiving
an almighty thumping in 2002, the Liberal Party may manage to fare even worse
this time round. Opposition leader Robert Doyle, we’re told, managed to attract no
takers from the media to a policy launch on Friday afternoon.
Still, Victoria is Victoria – and 2006
promises to be an exciting year for the local Labor lads, too. The federal and
state preselection seasons should be fascinating.

Slandersyou and friends at The Cheek have launched their own ALP Preselection Guides. They
provide plenty of reasons why Doyle and Co shouldn’t completely despair – yet.
