Gossip writer Annette Sharp was shaken up on Thursday
afternoon after a call from the Packer camp to Sun Herald editor Phil McClean
demanding her sacking. Sharp has upset PBL massively. They are suing her over a piece
about Women’s Weekly editor Deborah Thomas and John Alexander has never forgiven
her over a story about his first marriage break-up. Now they want her gone but McLean is vowing to stand by her but
Sharp has taken the news badly. Incidentally, the woman from Dubbo who crashed the Kerry Packer
memorial lunch used the name: Annette Sharp, to gain
admittance.
