I got an email from an old Brisbane contact yesterday about
rumours of job cuts at the Courier-Mail. Seems to have come from a News
Ltd editors’ conference. The paper was told to drop 25 staff, but some
say it might be over 40.
Was AWB really a sponsor of a plant breeding conference in New
Zealand a few weeks ago? And, as part of the sponsorship, did AWB
really provide delegates with a handy lunch… in brown paper bags
with the AWB logo on them?
