Epping plot thickens. Just when you thought
the Epping Liberal preselection couldn’t get any more interesting, some really
wild talk begins. Who was the intended beneficiary of the Cherrybrook Maronite
stack? Who was David Bainey helping? There’s been a state redistribution in
NSW. Cherrybrook has moved. And the latest story says the stack was designed to
help local mayor Nick Berman have a go at Judy Hopwood in the neighbouring seat
of Hornsby and that he may turn up in Epping as a unity candidate – or a candidate backed
by both the right and the loopy right, anyway.
God on their side. There are no Maronites
(yet) but if you’re interested in religion and politics – and ministers – check
out the info sheets at Beware of the God.
Who’s your
daddy? There’s testy tut-tutting over the website of ambitious Victorian
state Liberal Helen Shardey. There’s a prominent pic of her with the Prime
Minister – but her leader, Ted Baillieu, is missing.
