John Fletcher was embarrassed on Thursday at an internal briefing session at Coles on the latest changes. One staff member asked him how he was going to lift morale after managers who had won prestigious internal awards for excellent performance were being demoted while some known poor performers who had been the subject of complaints for poor performance and bullying were being promoted. Poor John was just lost for words.
