Crikey editor Jonathan Green drives a 10-year-old Volvo station wagon (utterly predictable) and an 11-year-old Land Rover Discovery diesel. This sounds bad, but we need it for the horses. No, really.

Christian Kerr sold his last car eight years ago — and gave away his push bike to an African refugee in 2003. He says: “Stick that in your bongs and smoke it, hippies!”

Sophie Black endeavours to catch the tram and train to work every day but sometimes she accidentally sleeps in and when that happens, she drives a 1993 Peugeot.

Ben Shearman owns a rarely driven 1975 Toyota Celica but takes public transport to work every day.

Jane Nethercote owns a lovely red 1989 Toyota Corolla. She drives it once a week for volunteer work.

Leigh Josey does not own a car and his push bike was recently stolen.
