Do you live in a key electorate? One of the handful of seats that will decide Election 2007? Fancy yourself as a citizen journalist (whatever that is)? Need a sturdy, reputable soapbox for your undoubtedly pithy observations of real politik? If you answered yes to any of these questions, read on.

Crikey is looking for people willing to share their experiences of the coming election campaign and how it plays out in their key electorate. We’re looking for people from the following seats:

Adelaide, Adelaide, Ballarat, Bass, Bendigo, Bennelong, Blair, Boothby, Bonner, Bowman, Braddon, Canning, Capricornia, Chisholm, Corangamite, Corio, Cowper, Cowan, Deakin, Dobell, Eden-Monaro, Flynn, Gippsland, Hasluck, Herbert, Hindmarsh, Holt, Isaacs, Kingston, La Trobe, Leichhardt, Lindsay, Longman, McEwen, McMillan, Macquarie, Makin, Moreton, Page, Parramatta, Paterson, Petrie, Richmond, Robertson, Solomon, Stirling, Sturt, Swan, Wakefield, Wentworth.

We’ll be wanting you to file regular reports from your suburban front line. Has your electorate been generously porked? Are you tempted to weigh the contents of your letter box as the political flyers tumble in, or watch the pollies as they perform in your local mega-mall? Tell us the issues the local independent is campaigning on. Anything and everything: we want to take the marginal pulse.

If you think you can help and can make the commitment in words and time, email us at boss@crikey.com.au and put ”citizen crikey” in the subject field. We’ll discuss terms later.
