“MBF management to avoid NIB’s public scrutiny?” …not if Crikey comments on this explosive post!
Which local news website has the worst “privacy” policy? It has to be News Ltd. Read this little extract:
We or any of our Australian related companies may contact you by any means (including by SMS or e-mail) in the future to let you know about goods, services or promotions which may be of interest to you. We may also share your information with other persons or entities who assist us in providing our services or running competitions or with other companies who provide prizes for competitions or reader offers. This company is part of a global media and entertainment group. We would like to share your information with our related companies so that they can contact you with offers. By marking the “opt-in” boxes on the Web Site entry form you consent to the storage and use of your personal information by TA, News Limited or other connected entities for the marketing purposes as set out next to opt-in boxes and as detailed above.
In other words, as soon as you sign up for anything, you can be spammed, SMS’d, and rung by News Ltd or any other company it chooses to share your data with. The terms are here. They are common to all News Ltd websites. I thought the big players had given up that sort of loathsome spamming years ago ?
I saw Maxine McKew at the Mosman shops the other weekend. Aren’t the Eastwood shops good enough for her? Latham was right, she obvioulsy doesn’t like the smell of Labor voters.
Good on Maxine McKew for sharing her money around. I must assume that the writer of that acidic observation only ever shops in the one place!
Try writing to the Age. Almost immediately Someone called Ron from a big equity company. Comes up neatly at the top left hand side of the screen. Also it acts to enlarge the section of one’s bookmark page. Is this spamming?
