The last day of the Republican National Convention saw presidential candidate John McCain offer up a speech about being tough enough to deal with foreign policy, but also able to work with the Democrats. His speech to the RNC built on the theme begun by VP Sarah Palin – that the GOP ticket represents ‘change coming to Washington’.
“I’m very proud to have introduced our next Vice President to the country. But I can’t wait until I introduce her to Washington. And let me offer an advance warning to the old, big spending, do nothing, me first, country second Washington crowd: change is coming.”
