It is hard to comment on the disaster of this magnitude. But somehow I cannot help myself to share this true story: My very close friends work for an American global construction company Bechtel. For a couple of years they were assigned to the Emirates. Not particular fans of Arabs, their wives could not drive a car ( but had chauffeurs) or drink whisky, they were absolutely shocked when one day the Sheik decided to abolish all the debts of his subjects.
It is hard to comment on the disaster of this magnitude.
But somehow I cannot help myself to share this true story:
