Glenn Dyer’s comments: Skippy the Doco: good TV. The best of the night. Quiet otherwise. The Footy Shows, or rather the AFL Footy Show helped Nine win last night. Q&A was interesting. Seven still underperforming.

TONIGHT: NRL and AFL finals on Nine and Seven. George Gently on the ABC at 8.30pm. Go out, reading a book, go online if you don’t like sport, watch Pay. The 7 pm Project on Ten before you go.

TOMORROW NIGHT: NRL and AFL finals on Nine and Ten. Go out, read a book, go online if you don’t like sport, watch Pay.

SUNDAY: Sunday Night on Seven and perhaps 60 Minutes on Nine at 6.30pm and 7.30pm respectively. Midsomer Murders on the ABC at 8.30pm. Rove on Ten (the programs turns Ten). Australian Idol has been moved back to a 7.30pm start to try and boost its audience. It took Ten a while to realise that. The 7th and final ODI between Australia and England from around 7pm on SBS. Maybe Border Security on Seven at 7.30pm and Rescue Special Ops on Nine at 8.30pm, but Midsomer Murders does police fantasy better.
