Glenn Dyer’s comments: Nine won, Seven was OK, Ten was Glee-ful at 7.30pm. It’s a pity the program can’t be stripped into a half hour format, it’s an ideal basis for a 16 to 39 soap. Full of stereotypes.
TONIGHT: Better Homes and Gardens on Seven at 7.30pm Midsomer Murders on the ABC at 8.30pm. Nine has a Harry Potter movie at 8pm. Ten, it’s a case of take a nap, SBS likewise.
SATURDAY: Horse racing for the gambling inclined. Hope Springs on the ABC at 7.30pm (A sort of UK East of Everything). The Australia-NZ Rugby Union Test on Seven at 7.30pm (Foxtel as well and Austar), Breathless at 11.30pm is the Richard Gere 1983 movie. Russell Crowe stars in A Good Year on Ten at 9.05pm. It seems to be first time on TV, so must be a dud being screened on a Saturday evening. SBS has RockWiz.
SUNDAY: Sunday Night on Seven. Bones on Seven at 6.30pm and 8.30pm respectively. The Ray Martin life story on 60 Minutes. That will get ’em watching. Australian Idol on Ten. Rove on Ten straight after at 9.30pm. Nine has a movie at 8.30pm. The ABC is dull. SBS has Dateline.
