Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Now that the Jesuit takeover of the Coalition is complete, all us Old Iggies are just waiting for the election victory so we can take up our soft jobs in the Abbott/Joyce administration, and for political watchers generally, thanks to the Opposition surely this will go down as the most entertaining first term of any government for a very long time, despite the Prime Minister not being exactly the most vibrant of personalities.
Malcolm Turnbull went out with a bang, easily the largest amount of coverage in a single week for any politician all year, and some interesting variations amongst media, with Joe Hockey twice as discussed as the PM on radio, but well behind in print and internet news.
Plenty of radio news coverage but the talkback callers weren’t that interested in Joe Hockey — it’s all about the base.
