I live next door to one. One day I walked around the side of the house to have a quiet, friendly chat with the neighbour about their little ‘Sarah’s’ yap yap yapping, only to hear a very loud, angry and frustrated
“DOES THAT DOG EVER SHUTTUP?”
From another neighbour of theirs.
Voices. silence. A back door closing.
And it’s been much better since.

I really had to laugh at this one out loud. Our dogs are frequently walked and not too barky but they do have their occasional moments. What makes it worse is that my step-daughters (one living out of home, one in process of moving in with boyfriend) both have dogs which live with us part-time, giving us a total of 4 dogs at some times, so anything barking in the area tends to set them off for a minute or two. We’re running out of ideas about how to fix this.
