Buy Crikey a beer evening!
Hooray, Crikey is taking over the regular “Wonk Drinks” at Canberra’s hottest nightspot.
Come and meet your favourite Crikey people in person and First Dog On The Moon as well!
Between 6pm and 7ish at All Bar Nun, O’Connor.
That’s right, this is your opportunity to meet the Crikey team and buy us a beer.
Anyone who purchases an alcoholic drink for First Dog on the Moon will get their own original First Dog on the Moon drawing of them on a Post-It note.*
*Numbers limited to cartoonist’s capacity to drink alcohol.
God no! Really? #ACTWonkDrinks on Wednesday as well? That’s 3 nights in a row. And all school nights.

Good grief Crikey! Say it isn’t so……
You can’t honestly think that ASIO is even going to let Firstdog get off the plane in Canberra! Much less run amok in parliament again.
Hell, they’re still smarting from the bollocking Kevin gave them after last year’s debacle.
I mean, who could ever forget that awful night, when he snuck in to xmas drinks at the lodge and then…(shudder) actually tried to bite Therese Rein…..
And here you all are, encouraging people to *buy him a drink*!!!!
Enough of this madness.
P.S.
I’m tempted to double my subscription so I can express twice the outrage. 🙂
Awww, Crikey, what a missed opportunity. A month or so back I was pondering whether to travel to Canberra for the Budget but decided against it (due to the exorbitant tariff my usual hostelry wanted for the night of Tuesday 11th – they’ve now reduced it by approx $200 but it’s still a rip-off).
Hence I won’t meet the gang or shout First Dog a Wonk drink due to my stinginess.
Several years ago (five perhaps?) Crikey founder & luminary, Stephen Mayne, came to Brisbane & an informal gathering of Crikey hangers-on was arranged at the Public Service Club in the city. Impressions? Stephen was taller than expected, most personable & drank light beer.
