The Losers: The Librarians, 572,000 for the ABC at 8.30pm. RPA, Nine, 9.30pm, 681,000. Faded glory. House, Ten, 708,000 at 9.30pm. Past its prime and going. The Good Wife, Ten, 8.30pm, 771,000. Also fading.

News & CA: A big mystery these ratings some times. ACA‘s less than stellar performance last night would have to be put in the box, “hard to know why”. It wasn’t all that different to TT. Even more mysterious was the fact that Nine News had a big win in Sydney (363,000 to 3211,000 for Seven News). ACA then shed 71,000 to fall to 292,000. TT meantime added 42,000 in Sydney to average 363,000 in Sydney. Why? Can’t answer. A deep mystery, as was Melbourne where Seven News beat Nine by 103,000 viewers, 405,000 to 302,000. ACA rose to 311,000, TT fell to 367,000 but still won. Seven News and TT won Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

(All shares on the basis of combined overnight 6pm to midnight All People)

Glenn Dyer’s comments: A sort of profitless evening for Seven in a way. It won the All People, but Nine (The Block and Big Bang Theory) and Ten (The 7PM Project, Glee) did better in the demos. Ten won 16 to 39’s Nine the other majors.

TONIGHT: Oh, dear, why bother except for Rake on the ABC, Bondi Vet at 7.30pm on Ten. Loser programs, CSI on Nine, Cops L.A.C, also on Nine and Rush, Ten are on. Seven has Beauty and The Geek which will do well because the fans of Two and a Half Men and The X Factor.
