I would not have heard about this other than if you had broken with this news today, Mr Dogonthemoon.
I have been myself at the centre of the pigeon controversy Once Were Pigeons in my locality! A housing complex where I have been a visitor was built on a site of a former Drive-In; local scouts say pigeons flocked to partake of the entertainment and the popcorn.
Pigeons now are profoundly roosted all OVER the same environment but which is public housing in place of Drive-In and tenants want for adequate shelter over balcony verandahs, the excrement is unavoidably walked to and fro across the external pavements and doorways of the dwellings AND…
…it is a revengeful society that shoots Once Were Homeless in the foot as if they are only worth this sort of Town Hall politics and its excrements…NOBODY will take responsibility at either a local level or State to erect awnings. Is it not the same as not taking responsibility for POKER MACHINES in DEFERENCE TO protecting K-MART SIGNS.
As IF the nasty roof spikes and as IF the needless risking of the lives and welfare of workers to put spikes up there in the first place on a 3-storey building is smarter than COVERING the tenants from exposure to crap bottom LINE. WHO needs to be made uncomfortable with SPIKES! GUNS! THANKS FIRSTY! MORE EVIDENCE OF PEABRAIN HUMANS!
Polly wants a cracker…..Right F*cking NOW!! Eh?
I’ve always thought that cockatoos destroyed tall buildings, stable marriages, tollways and my front veranda, by that terrifying sonic weapon they hide in their throats.
I once saw a fully grown bull elephant, turn to jelly and actually dissolve before my eyes, when a flock of the screeching monsters landed on his back and demanded a free ride. **
**Absolute B.S .of course. (It was actually a water buffalo called Warren.) 🙂 😎

@Sandshoe: I don’t mind the suphur crested galah, but I hates feral pigeons (topknot and bronzewing are ok)
