Name calling has emerged between the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition partners in the United Kingdom as the referendum on changing the voting system for the House of Commons gets closer. It is all reminiscent of the slanging matches between the Australian Liberal Party and the National Party over three cornered contests!

The Conservatives to a person want the current first-past-the-post system to continue while the Lib-Dems hope that an optional preferential system will guarantee them a chance of being in future coalition governments as well as this one.
