Seems like a minor dummy spit from Chris Mitchell because the PM ignored him and spoke to his boss. Talk about unseemly behaviour – apologise then undermine the apology. Sooks.

It is a real shame News Limited in general, and John Hartigan in particular doesn’t hire editors with the same attention to detail – pedantry – he now accuses Gllard of.
If he did, The Australian might never have let Glenn Milne slip through as an assertion of fact, an allegation that Gillard has long denied.
If he had done that he wouldn’t have had to retract the article and issue an embarrassing apology. Oh well, you live and learn.
If Milne’s editor should had done what the clever Andrew Bolt does and merely reported the well shagged allegations, Gillard would not have had a crutch to whack you with. Who knows, you might not have even had to remove, without comment, Bolt’s own posts on the subject a full 11-16 hours later. Why did you do that, after all?
Surely if Gillard actually cared about those you would have done that at 9:30am.
Still you were somewhat brave. You did let them remain on the web for a full 11-16 hours after you had to release that embarassing apology to Gillard. You brave man.

Yet more talk of News Ltd’s “code of conduct”. Seems the code must be a hard one to crack.
