Thanks for this, Firsty, I’m now practising The Block and The Twinkle – the latter will be useful for hailing buses and taxis.
When I was a nipper the adults regularly exhorted me to “keep yourself occupied.” Their encouragement particularly gained momentum during the long weeks of school holidays when self-occupying reached an art form.
