I thought the opening passage there said “migratory breasts” FD. I am all for that. Summer starts out with “white pointers” and ends with “bronze whalers”. Hot Dang I love summer.

DRMICK, I suspect that you love summer because the old Euphonium spit trap gets less of a work out.

I love summer too. Girls on the Avenue. Thorpie’s “It’s Almost Summer”. Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer”. Wipe Out. Bombora. Beach Boys.

That amazing feeling of getting into a warm car after the salt water and beach breeze turn cold. The prickly crackle of salt on your skin under your First Dog T shirt. The warm shower followed by the ultimate tired flop naked on a fresh set of sheets.

Cold beer and warm toasty Vegemite for breakfast. More and more and more.

World turning ? I seriously doubt it.

At last Australian kids can dream of a White Christmas. Thank you Climate Change.

Bless you FD. As I cower under the doona, shivering and bemoaning the empty jar of vegemite…..I can at least turn to FDOTM for the “sounds of summer”.
BTW
If memory serves me right, I don’t think we’re supposed to get proper HOT weather, till the kiddies go back to school. That’s *next* week….(Hopefully.)

Mr Onthemoon has captured the sprinkler frame perfectly ie: there is absolutely no point in running through a sprinkler unless you are squealing or screaming at top pitch.

Whenever passing a flowering frangipanni tree, I suddenly smell the sunburn cream which was liberally smeared on me as a youngster (to no avail, I always ended the beach outing red and sorry).
