First Dog On The Moon

The Perfect Derp Storm

There are two versions of this cartoon because somehow I widened the original file without noticing so i had "much more space" to put words and didn't even notice the writing was tiny. So I redid it properly sized with bigger writing. Now there are two. Eric Beecher has asked the AFP to investigate.

“I think we can all be very proud of the high esteem that derp is held by every Australian.”

And to think, all this started in Sydney, at the Opera House (280+ Kms from Canberra), when a media butterfly flapped her gums and asked :- “Mr. Abbott today is the 40th anniversary of the tent embassy in Canberra. Do you think it’s still relevant, or should it move?”
And “The Monk” replied “Look. I can understand why the tent embassy was established all those years ago. A lot has changed for the better …. the indigenous people of Australia can be very proud of the respect in which they are held by every Australian (like “Intervention” and the way you can swing into their camps, like Tarzan, or Cheetah? Without asking permission?) …. and yes I think it probably is time to move on from that.”?

For we are young and free
We’ve golden soil
And wealth for toil
Our home is girt by derp.
